Students who submit compositions will receive an evaluation from a qualified judge, and will have the opportunity to perform their works in a class recital setting. First and second place winners in four age groups will be selected to go on to the western regional level for evaluation and potentially from there, to the national level for further evaluation. Read below for monetary awards for class winners at each level!
Entrants must be studying with a member in good standing of Federation, and may enter only one composition in their state Junior Composers Contest.

Workshop: January 26th, 2019, Classic Pianos, 11:00 AM.
Class I, Age 9 and Under
Class II- Age 10-12
Class III- Age 13-15
Class IV- Ages 16-18
~Ages are as of March 1st of 2019~
CONTENT AND MUSICIANSHIP will be taken into account when judged.
TYPE OF ENTRY:
Compositions may be for keyboard, voice, other instruments or any combination.
OFMC (STATE) AWARDS:
$25.00 Award for 1st place winners in each class.
1st and 2nd place winners in each class will be forwarded to the Western Region for further evaluation.
Two $75.00 awards in each class.
NATIONAL PRIZE AWARDS:
Junior Class I- $125, $100, and 2 incentive awards of $50
Junior Class II- $150, $100, and 2 incentive awards of $75
Junior Class III- $200, $150, and 3 incentive awards of $100
Junior Class IV- $250, $150, and 4 incentive awards of $100
